Peterborough Prices
Carpet moth treatment in Peterborough costs £220 for the first room, plus £60 for each additional room — £280 for two rooms, £340 for three. There is no call-out fee, and the total is confirmed before anything is booked.
Peterborough is a cathedral city in the north of Cambridgeshire, on the River Nene, and it pays exactly what Cambridge pays. We do not add anything for distance.
The first-room figure includes getting to you, checking the property and setting up. Each room after that is only the extra treatment time, which is why it is £60 rather than another £220. Carpet beetle is covered by the same price, so you do not need to know which of the two you have before you ask.
The rooms counted are the ones with an active infestation — larvae, cases, webbing or fresh grazing. That is not always the list you start with. Moths get noticed where people spend time; larvae feed where people do not.
So we ask you which rooms have damage or larvae, and when we arrive we check those rooms and the ones next to them. If we find activity in a room you had not mentioned, we tell you and give you the new total before treating it. You decide.
Halls, landings and stairs are not rooms, and do not add to the count. If you are unsure whether a space counts, ask when you call. Our Peterborough carpet moth page covers the local service in more detail.
It does not cover things we do not do. We do not replace or repair carpets, and washing, freezing or dry-cleaning clothes is something you arrange yourself.
People often search for carpet moth fumigation. What we do is not a whole-house fumigation with the building sealed and filled with gas. It is a targeted treatment applied where the larvae feed, and you do not need to move out while it is done.
That matters for the price, too. Because the treatment goes into the affected rooms rather than the whole building, you pay for the rooms that need it and no more.
We check the rooms against what you described, confirm the count, and treat. Before starting we tell you what is being used, where, how long to keep off treated areas and what to do with pets. Follow those instructions, and speak to your vet if you have a concern about an animal.
Leave the treated carpet alone — no vacuuming, shampooing or steam cleaning — for the period we give you. After that, regular vacuuming of the edges and under furniture helps stop anything that hatches later from settling in.
If you want someone to establish what is going on before committing to treatment, a pest inspection and survey in Peterborough is £120 fixed cost. Prices for every pest are on our Peterborough pest control prices post, and the carpet moth treatment cost guide explains the moth price in full. The service itself is described on the carpet moth control page.
