Closing the Roof Afterwards

Once the roof space is clear, the gaps we found need closing with materials a squirrel cannot chew. On an older building, that repair should suit the building: a roofer used to traditional roofs is the right person for work to stone slates, lead or old timber.

Trees are the other half. Branches that reach or overhang the roof give squirrels a route, and should be cut back well clear.
