Mice Exterminator in Royston

"Exterminator" is the word people search for, and it gives the wrong picture. Nobody arrives in a mask to fog the house. Mouse control is a careful, fairly quiet job, and most of it is about finding where the mice are and how they are getting in.

Before We Come: The Phone Call

The First Visit

We start by looking, not placing. Inside, that means the kitchen, under sinks, around the boiler, behind appliances, airing cupboards and the loft. Outside, it means the base of the walls, air bricks, pipe and cable entries, door thresholds and anything that gives mice cover close to the house.

From that we work out three things: how established the mice are, where they are living, and how they are getting in. The treatment is then placed where it will work, in protected locations that children and pets cannot reach.

Follow-Up Visits

A single visit is rarely the end of it. We come back to check activity, remove what has been caught and adjust placements if the mice are using a different route. Between visits, leave the placements alone and let us know if the evidence changes.

The job is signed off when activity has stopped: no fresh droppings, no new gnawing, no noise. We do not declare it finished on the first quiet night.

The aim is not to catch mice. It is to reach the point where there are none left to catch.

The Part That Stops It Happening Again

Before we leave, you get a list of the gaps we found, in order of importance, and what to close them with. Mice only need one route, so the list matters. If you would rather we did it, rat and mice proofing is £180 for up to 1 hour, and any further time is quoted before it is carried out.
