Bed Bug Control • Cambourne
Two things people do within hours of finding bed bugs make the job harder and more expensive. Both are completely understandable, and both are worth resisting.
It is the first instinct and it is the costly one. Bed bugs are rarely confined to the mattress — BPCA is explicit that they are not limited to the sleeping area and will infest crevices in surrounding furniture, behind skirting boards, under loose wallpaper, behind pictures and even in plug sockets.
So removing the mattress leaves most of the infestation exactly where it was. Worse, carrying it out through the house can distribute them along the route. You have then paid for a mattress and still need the treatment.
Bed bugs orient towards a sleeping person. Move, and over time they follow — and a one-room problem becomes a two-room problem, which on our pricing is £80 more before anyone has done anything.
Stay in the same bed. It is the last thing anyone wants to hear and it is the single most useful thing you can do to keep the job small.
We inspect first, and we would rather you had changed nothing before we arrive — an untouched room tells us where they are.
Treatment then targets the harbourage across the affected rooms. Nothing is arranged until you have the treatment and the price in front of you.
Our current price is £220 first room, +£80 per additional room. There is no call-out fee, and the figure is confirmed with you before anything is booked — never afterwards.
Our Bed Bug Control cost guide explains what the price covers and what happens on the day, and every price we charge is published on the pest control price list.
Acting fast feels right and usually makes it worse. Removing furniture, moving rooms or spraying a shop product all scatter an infestation that was, until that point, contained.
