Two things people want to know after a mouse treatment: how long until it is over, and what happens if one dies somewhere I cannot reach.
It is the thing people worry about most, so here is the straight answer. Where a mouse dies in an accessible place we remove it. Where one dies inside a wall cavity, under a floor or in a sealed void, sometimes it cannot be reached.
It is worth weighing this before treatment rather than after, which is why it comes up in the conversation about approach on our Saint Ives page. Where the risk of an inaccessible casualty would be worse than the problem, trapping is the better route.
A property that has been treated and properly proofed does not usually need doing again. One that was treated but never proofed very often does.
We treat, monitor and confirm the activity has stopped rather than leaving you to judge it, and we are straight about what happens if one dies out of reach.
Proofing afterwards is what decides whether it recurs. You will know what we are doing and what it costs before we start.
Our current price is £260. There is no call-out fee, and the figure is confirmed with you before anything is booked — never afterwards.
Our Mice Control cost guide explains what the price covers and what happens on the day, and every price we charge is published on the pest control price list.
The gap people leave is not the treatment, it is the proofing. A property treated and never proofed is a property that will be available again next autumn.
