You have found the hole. The instinct is to close it this afternoon. Please do not — it is the one action that reliably makes a squirrel job worse.
Finding the access point is genuinely the useful half of the diagnosis. Closing it before the roof space is clear is a different matter.
Squirrel work is £280 fixed cost; proofing is separate at £180 for up to an hour, and it goes in last.
We treat first, confirm the roof space is clear, and proof last, because that order is what stops the animal making its own exit through your ceiling.
Proofing is priced separately so it is your choice who carries it out. Nothing is arranged until you have the treatment and the price in front of you.
Our current price is £280 fixed cost. There is no call-out fee, and the figure is confirmed with you before anything is booked — never afterwards.
Our Squirrel Trapping cost guide explains what the price covers and what happens on the day, and every price we charge is published on the pest control price list.
Foam, sealant and a timber patch are what most people close a roofline gap with, and a squirrel goes through all three. Proofing that holds is metal, and it goes on last.

Read the guide →People with newer houses are surprised by this, and the surprise is the problem — it means nobody checks the places where a modern roof is actually weak.
Read the guide →You do not need to go up there. Squirrels leave more evidence outside a building than in it, and it is all visible from the ground.
Read the guide →People ask this and are often given a vague answer. We would rather tell you plainly before you book than have you find out afterwards.
