How Long Each Takes
- A rat job is typically a treatment visit and a follow-up, with activity reducing over the first week or two
- A squirrel job depends on how quickly the animal engages with the programme and on the checking requirement, and it is honestly not something anybody can promise to finish on a particular day
- Neither is finished when the noise stops. Quiet is a stage, not an outcome, and both jobs finish when the space is confirmed clear
- Proofing comes after that, in both cases
The cost of getting the identification wrong. A rat treatment bought for a squirrel achieves nothing at all — wrong species, wrong placements, wrong part of the building. That is the full price of a job, followed by the price of the right job, plus a fortnight in which the animal has carried on gnawing. Proofing, Priced Separately in Both Cases
Deliberately so. It means you are not paying us for work your own builder or roofer could do, and you can see what each half of the job costs. It is priced by time rather than by room, because it depends on how many openings there are and how awkward they are to reach rather than on the size of the property.
For a squirrel that is roofline work, at height, in metal. For a rat it is usually ground level. Where a job needs scaffolding, roof access or building repairs, that is building work and we will say so rather than charge you by the hour for something we cannot finish.
